American Special Stratocaster is more affordable than it`s American Standard and American Deluxe counterparts, but is still a high quality instrument. For it`s price class, it`s one of the best guitars available on the market. The MSRP is set at $1,249. Body of this model is made of alder, it`s flat on the top, solid and covered with a classic white pickguard made of plastic. Bridge section on this Strat is equipped with a synchronized tremolo bridge. This non-locking tremolo is among the finest in it`s class. Pickups are laid out in S/S/S pattern and are taken from the Texas Special series of pickups. Maple neck sports C contour in the back and maple fingerboard on top. It has 22 frets with black dot inlays.
