Brand new American Elite series takes things one step ahead and recreates the Strat and Tele to suit the contemporary players. These new and improved instruments, however, do come with the classic Fender design, skillfully hiding the modern features under the hood. First of all, electronics on these new models are astonishing. New Shawbucker humbuckers and 4th generation Noiseless single-coils bring a modern yet unmistakably characteristic Fender tone, tailored to the needs of modern musicians. Necks and fingerboards have also been heavily modified to suit the players used to modern guitars. All this, and much more, is wrapped in beautiful solid and sunburst color schemes.
American Elite Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker comes with a solid and double-cut alder body and a compound-contoured maple neck. These two are connected through a modern bolt-on joint. The chassis of this HSS Strat can be completed with either a rosewood or maple fingerboard. Regardless of the player`s choice, the fingerboard will feature 22 medium jumbo frets, 1.685" synthetic bone nut, dot inlays and compound 9.50-14" radius.
Beefed-up pickups combo includes the modern Shawbucker pickup with zebra coils, as well as a pair of new 4th Generation Noiseless single-coils. Master volume with S-1 switch, two No-Load tone knobs, a push/push switch which engages the bridge pickup and bypasses the tone circuit, and a classic five-position blade switch complete the controls unit. Fender`s string-through tremolo bridge and high quality tuners (also Fender) complete this bad boy.
