2014 MLB All Star Game Standard Stratocaster is a special edition model made for this year`s All Star game which was played in Minnesota on July 15th at Target Field in Minneapolis. it is a regular Fender Standard Stratocaster with a custom painted graphic over it`s body. Theme of the graphic is Minnesota and the all star game. It is finished in gloss and is matched with chrome-played hardware. Body of this special Stratocaster is solid, flat and made of alder, Fender`s favorite body wood. It guarantees the characteristic Strat tone and feel. It is paired with a bolt-on maple neck with a classic C contour in the back. Hardware department is led by the vintage-styled synchronized tremolo bridge, which is a standard feature of the Standard class Strats. It features six adjustable saddles and string-through construction. Standard series single-coil pickups are installed in the S/S/S configuration and come with a standard controls unit. Pickup switching is done through a five-position blade switch. Standard maple neck is topped with a 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays, medium jumbo frets, 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut and 9.50" radius. Die-cast tuning machines on the headstock complete the specs list. As for the playability, feel and tone, this special edition ranks shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the Standard series strats.
