Fender`s Select series is one of the most luxurious lines in the entire catalog, excluding the Custom Shop section. This series is being thoroughly reconstructed for 2013 and six new models have been introduced. Five guitars and one bass. One of five guitars unveiled for this year is Select Stratocaster HSS. It comes with three pickups, of which, only the bridge pickup is a humbucker. Other two are standard single coils made for Select series. Standard controls unit accompanies these super smooth pickups. One volume, two tone knobs and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Bridge section is equipped with a synchronized tremolo bridge with string-through construction and chrome plating. This magnificent bridge is paired with a set of six in-line Fender tuners, which are also plated in chrome. Body of this Strat is solid, double-cut and modern-contoured. It is made of alder back with flamed maple top. There`s no binding around the top and the only color scheme is the Tobacco Sunburst with high gloss finish. Maple neck features modern C contour in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Fingerboard is bound and features 21 medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 1.685" synthetic bone nut and compound 9.5"-14" radius.
