1956 is especially important year in Stratocaster`s history, for it is the turning point where Fender switches from the old swamp ash bodies to now dominant alder bodies. In 1956 alder started taking over and almost six decades later, it is the number one body wood in Fender`s catalog. Time Machine`s '56 Stratocaster Relic model comes with two body options, swamp ash and alder, due to 1956 being the year of the change. 2-Tone Sunburst and Black color options are available. Color on both variants is slightly worn and hardware is mildly aged. Bridge on this model is the standard vintage non-locking tremolo with string-through construction. Three single-coil pickups are installed in the front. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the standard 21-fret maple fingerboard on the top.
