If there is a man in rock `n roll world who needs no introduction, it most certainly is legendary Pete Townshend, a man who almost single-handedly shaped the face of early hard rock. His contribution to rock music through The Who is immeasurable, ranging from some of the finest ballads ever written to some of the heaviest and nastiest riffs in history. Finally, Pete gets the honor he deserves, his own Stratocaster model. It is a limited edition model made by Fender Custom Shop. Every model of the series will be hand-made by some of the best luthiers of today. Limited Edition Pete Townshend Stratocaster is a tremendously versatile axe, made for players with a broad repertoire. Solid and double-cut body is made of two pieces of alder and it is paired with a V-shaped maple neck. The neck is, of course, bolted to the body and has a 22-fret maple fingerboard on top (1.65" synthetic bone nut, 9.5" radius, black dot inlays, vintage frets). Trio of Gold Lace Sensor pickups features a customized controls unit, made up of a master volume, tone 1 (master TBX tone control), tone 2 (master active mid boost) and power bridge volume. Power bridge, installed behind the pickups, serves as a regular trem bridge while also sporting a Fishman preamp. Locking Sperzel tuners complete the list of major features.
