Mark Heylmun of Suicide Silence is one of extreme metal reinforcements for this year`s ESP catalog. He is one of many newcomers to the signature line with his MKH-7. The guitar was uncovered at the NAMM Show this January. This is one of many seven-stringers ESP has prepared for this season, clearly setting the course towards the raging seas of extreme metal. For starters, MKH-7 is a solid, single cutaway guitar with a body made of mahogany. The body features a nicely carved top and binding around it. There is only one color available for this model, and it is black with satin finish. There is no pickguard on this model. The bridge department features Tonepros locking tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar and black paint. Pickups on MKH-7 are EMG-81 active humbucker in the bridge and EMG-707 active humbucker in the neck position. Controls for these pickups are consisting of bride volume, neck volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. The neck is a standard ESP feature, and is made of maple with thin U contour and neck-through-body construction. Ebony fingerboard sports 24 extra jumbo sized frets with custom 12th and 24th inlays. 25-1/2" scale, 1.89" string nut and ESP locking tuners finish the list of specs fir MKH-7.
