Great guitar, not only because of the price but because of the active pickups, 81 & 85, set neck, jumbo frets (24), fantastic finish, quick neck, and professional nut. If you want a guitar without a trem, this is the one to get. Awesome. I haven't touched the ESP viper model, but the LTD model is just awesome. The quality is awesome. It came set up to play. No dings. I would totally use it live. The new model is the 401, but so far I haven't found the different between the two. If it was lost or stolen I would buy another one in a second. Totally happy. It was a bit neck heavy, but with the right strap and with the extra 9v battery for the 18v mod, it is just right now. This guitar screams, but you can get awesome clean tones from it, and bending the strings is a joy.
