M series is an epitome of heavy music as its M stands for metal. But, far more than the name, models of this series give the ultimate reason for the epithet. It`s their sick, growling tone and their unmatched playability which made them what they are today. Simple `80s-oriented Super Strat design, solid construction and famously heavy tone (even in the lower portions of the LTD segment) are the hallmarks of this range. For 2015, ESP has completely renovated the catalog in order to properly celebrate 40 years in business. One of many LTD models introduced was the magnificent LTD M-1000 Ebony. It is a regular M-1000 six-stringer with an ebony fingerboard and dual EMG 81 pickups. Solid and double-cut (also flat on the top) body is made entirely of alder and is paired with a set-through maple neck. On the top, it`s fit with a Floyd Rose locking bridge and a set of mighty EMG humbuckers. Master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch make up the controls. U-shaped neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard (thus the word ebony in the name) with 1.65" locking nut, arrow inlays and 13.77" radius at the nut. Grover tuners on the headstock wrap the specs list for this killer shredding machine.
