His signature line is vast and made up of incredibly vivid guitars deeply rooted in `80s Soloist/Superstrat tradition. One of the latest lineup updates is the eccentric LTD GL Burnt Tiger. It is a simple, straightforward shred machine with nothing but the essentials. GL Burnt Tiger kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made of alder and a bolt-on maple neck. This is the most standard combination in George`s signature line (basswood sometimes replaces alder). Exceptional weight balance and complete accessibility of the fingerboard are hallmark features of the GL series and are also displayed on the Burnt Tiger. Fast and slim neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays with a custom 12th fret inlay, 1.77" locking nut and extra jumbo frets). Pickups section boasts the timeless TB-6 Trembucker, a passive bridge pickup with unsurpassed balance of rhythm and lead qualities. There`s no tone pot and no pickup switch (well, duh), just a lone volume control. Floyd Rose bridge and Grover tuners make sure this beast stays in tune even after the most grueling shred sessions. With a price tag well above $1,000, this tiger aims at George`s most loyal fans, leaving traditional LTD-oriented metalheads somewhat aside.
