F series in ESP`s LTD range is dedicated to the production of the modern double-cut guitars made for the intermediate class of the market. LTD F-2E is one of the average models in this series. It features a solid, double-cut maple body and a multi-laminated mahogany neck (it is more common to see these tonewoods in opposite positions, where mahogany is used for the body and maple for the neck). F-2E has neck-through-body construction, which means mahogany makes up the central part of the body, as well. On the top of the body, ESP installs a pair of ESP pickups with a basic controls unit (volume, tone and a three-way pickup switch). Mahogany neck is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
