KH-25 is a special, anniversary model which celebrates 25 years of Kirk Hammett playing ESP guitars. It is a stripped down killing machine, only equipped with essentials needed for hell raising metal mayhem. This model was exhibited and introduced at 2012 NAMM Show. To start off, KH-25 is a solid, double cutaway guitar with a body made of alder. The top is flat and features no binding. Black color features matte finish, and the guitar overall sports a worn-out image with chipped paint job and custom top graphics. There are no pickguards for this anniversary model. the bridge is a Floyd Rose double locking bridge from the special series, and it is painted black to match the body and the rest of the hardware. EMG pickups sit in both the bridge and neck positions. Namely, these are EMG81 and EMG60. Split volume knobs, master tone and a three-position blade pickup switch are at players disposal as means of tone manipulating. The bridge is made of maple and features an extra thin U contour. Neck joint is a bolted one. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 24 extra jumbo sized frets, skull & bones position inlays and 1.65" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and ESP locking tuners wrap things up.
