Jeff Hanneman EC is a brand new Hanneman signature model from ESP, and it hits the stages in 2012. Based upon the highly acclaimed ESP Eclipse series models, this axe was introduced at this year`s NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca. This is the first single cutaway signature model for Jeff in the ESP catalog. Alder body features no top wood, but the top is carved and bound in white. Black color with gloss finish is the only one available for this EC. There are no pickguards on the list of features. In the bridge department, this Jeff Hanneman signature axe features a Kahler locking tremolo bridge, the only real competition to Floyd Rose and Floyd Rose styled locking tremolo bridges. To match the rest of the hardware, this bridge is painted in black. Pickups combo is the most popular active humbucker pair ever, the famous EMG81/85. They are controlled through master tone, bridge volume, neck volume and a three way toggle pickup switch. This model has two pickup switches, with the lower one being the only active. Neck is made of maple with ultra thin U contour and neck-through-body construction. Ebony fingerboard features 24 extra jumbo frets, inverted pentagram inlays and 1.61" wide nut.
