Horizon NT EMG is a special model in the ESP Standard Horizon series, as it features a set of active EMG pickups, instead of the series standard Seymour Duncans. Instead of the most obvious choice of 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck (this translates into 81 in the bridge and 89 in the neck for models with coil splitting), ESP has sided with a combo that has made their premier signature artists, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett, stars - the one and only 81/60 combo. Solid and double-cut body of this model is made of alder wings and a combined maple/acero neck in the middle. Fixed tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction is alone in the bridge section. Maple/acero neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
