Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom by Epiphone
Camo

Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom in Epiphone variant looks just as impressive, as it does in Gibson Custom. The major difference, however, is the choice of pickups. It may look the same, but instead of active 81 and 85, Epiphone installs passive EMG humbuckers with covers over them. These pickups come from the HZ series and are controlled with a standard Les Paul set of knobs and switches. Bridge section is plated in gold and it consists of a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Tuners on the headstock are also plated in gold. Mahogany body has a plain maple top with Camo/Bullseye and Bullseye color schemes. Neck is made of maple, it`s set in and topped with a regular 22-fret maple fingerboard.

I absolutely love this guitar. The look, feel and craftsmanship of this signature guitar is top notch. Custom style headstock inlay, gold hardware and camouflage bullseye paint scheme screams metal! The fit and finish justify the cost. The frets are nice and smooth. No sharp edges. The maple fretboard complements the camo finish beautifully and the unfinished neck is thick but fast. The ZW has some serious weight to it. Feels VERY solid (as it is)! Like discribed above, the guitar came with passive EMG HZ pickups. While the HZs are decent, I upgraded to the active EMG 85/81 Zakk set. I also string mine with EB Beefy Slinky 11-54s which it handles without any issues. Absolute screamer! Give one a go.
