Black Royale is a brand new line of electric guitars from Epiphone, it includes six previously known and well-established models which were given Black Royale treatment. This treatment is cosmetic and these guitars are basically the same as they were, except for the enhanced aesthetics. Riviera Custom P-93 Black Royale is a semi-hollow bodied guitar with double cutaway and a glued-in neck. Body of this model is entirely made of laminated maple and it`s paired with a mahogany neck. Top of the body is rich with decoration. Silver sparkle binding, elevated silver pickguard and a pair of carved "f" holes. Holes are positioned one on the either side of the bridge section. Tune-o-matic bridge sits in the front and it`s backed by a Bigsby vibrato construction and trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Nickel plating is applied on them. Three P-90 pickups with dog-ear casings are installed on this Riviera Custom. P-90T is in the bridge, P-90R with reversed polarity is in the middle and P-90R in neck position. Separate volume knobs, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch are featured in the controls department. Mahogany neck is glued in and equipped with 1960s slim taper contour. Rosewood is the material of choice for the fingerboards of the entire series and therefore, for this model. 22 medium jumbo frets, parallelogram inlays, 1-11/16" string nut and 12" radius are featured on the fingerboard. 24-3/4" scale and nickel plated Grover tuners are also on the specs list.
