Les Paul is a guitar of unparalleled heritage and tradition. It was introduced back in 1952 as an exclusive, "tuxedo" guitar which had to look as well as it sounded. Initially, equipped with a pair of single-coil pickups (P-90s), Les Paul quickly adopted the dual humbucker configuration (1957) which has remained a staple feature and a hallmark of Les Paul. Today`s models, as a rule, feature dual humbuckers (either Gibson or Epiphone), save for a few models with P-90s. The new Les Paul Traditional PRO-II comes in with a pair of zebra-coiled humbuckers, a wide color palette and a pretty affordable price tag ($499). Les Paul Traditional PRO-II starts off with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany and a set-in neck made of mahogany, as well. regardless of the color option, the top of the body is bound in creme binding and equipped with a detachable pickguard. Pickup rings and pickup switch ring follow the suit. The neck is equipped with a 60`s slim taper profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The fingerboard features medium jumbo frets, trapezoid inlays and 1-11/16" nut. Epiphone Pro Bucker 3 in the bridge and Alnico Classic PRO in the neck yield that sweet PAF tone, warm, creamy and fat. Through the push/pull switches on the volume knobs, the pickups can be split for an authentic single-coil tone. Two-piece bridge (tune-o-matic/stoptail) and Grover tuners complete the specs list.
