Les Paul Studio is a concept introduced back in the 1980s by Gibson USA in an effort to make the Les Paul more affordable, without compromising it`s signature tone quality. The problem was resolved with removing much of the unnecessary decorations and embellishments and leaving the Les Paul stripped down with only the bare necessities. Epiphone`s Les Paul Studio follows the same pattern and offers a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany. It is paired with a set mahogany neck. on the top of the body Epiphone installs a standard tune-o-matic bridge/stoptail bar combo, which is fronted by a pair of hot open-coiled Alnico humbuckers. Set mahogany neck features the rounded contour in the back and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
