In both the Gibson and Epiphone catalogs Les Paul Standard sets the bar for all other LP models. Epiphone`s LP Standard has more basic specs list than the Gibson USA and Gibson Custom LP Standard, but it offers pretty much similar level of tone and build quality. It comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany base with plain maple top. Creme binding, elevated pickguard and high gloss finish decorate the body. Ebony is the only color scheme available for this model. Bridge section is equipped with standard tune-o-matic/stoptail combo with chrome plating. Pair of active humbuckers is accompanied by a standard set of knobs and switches. Set mahogany neck sports a standard contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.

I bought this guitar from guitar center and i recieved it 5 days later, just as we were told. As soon as i took it out of the box I was amazed at how shiny and good looking it was. Everything was in perfect condition, the toggle switch worked, all the pickups worked, everything was good. At least until my parents took it away from me until my birthday, which is only a week away from today, so I am very excited. The only thing wrong that I noticed was when i went to plug the amp to it, the nut on the jack was loose, and it will only tighten up so far until becoming loose again, and it isnt stripped out. I'm just going to have to keep it fingertight. Once I got it in tune, it stayed in tune prettty well. The other bad thing is that under the pickguard, the screw that runs through the pickguard comes ut the other side and has a bolt on it that is hitting the body of the guitar. They should put a pad on that or something in the factory, but I am just going to take off the pickguard. My pick never really touches the body anyway, as I have broken that habit. Overall it has great quality, and quick action. I reccomend it for beginners or intermediate, as well as advanced guitarists. On a scale from 1-10, I give it a 100000000000000000000000000000000000
