TV Pelham Blue
ES-355 is a true classic, a model without which Epiphone catalog could not be imagined. Nor would Gibson`s be imaginable, for that matter. This legend was introduced back in 1958 and has instantly become a classic. It`s gorgeous double-cut body, well dosed vintage styling and marvelous construction quality gave a distinguished, elegant guitar with one of the most recognizable tones. This particular variant of the ES-355 belongs to the limited TV Pelham Blue Collection, a series dedicated to the classic guitars and classic color option named TV Pelham Blue. There are five more models in this collection and all come in limited numbers. This series will hit the stores no sooner than June 2013. All six will only be available in Pelham Blue. ES-355 comes with a classic double-cut body made of laminated maple. Back, sides and carved top are all made of it. Five-ply binding around the top, two "f" holes and gloss finish decorate the top panel. Bridge section is a three-piece and it`s made up of Locktone tune-o-matic bridge, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece and trapezoid tailpiece. Classic '57 humbuckers are installed in the front. They feature nickel-plated covers and are accompanied by a standard controls unit. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs and three-way toggle pickup switch comprise it. Set in neck is made of mahogany and it features a 1960s slim taper contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features the same binding as the body. 12" radius and standard 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard. Headstock is a classic one, featuring the matching binding and a set of nickel-plated Grover tuners in 3+3 arrangement. These tuners feature the supreme 18:1 gear ratio.
