V Straight Six is a part of the new Straight Six series from Dean Guitars. It deals with standard variants of V, Z, ML and Cadillac models for now and gives them a modern look. Instead of the traditional winged headstock, these models are made to test the fans will they like the new streamlined headstocks on classic Dean models. Other than the headstocks with in-line tuners, these models are pretty much standard and aim for players who are searching for quality guitars, but are not ready to spend fortune on it. V Straight Six comes with a solid, flat V contoured-body and C shaped neck. Body is made completely of mahogany and it features seven-ply binding around the top. Bridge section includes traditional tune-o-matic bridge with V-shaped back plate. Strings run through the plate and through the body. Pickups are USA DMT design humbuckers. Standard Dean V controls unit is featured alongside. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features set in joint. On it`s top Dean installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. 1-11/16" nut and mother-of-pearl block inlays complete the fingerboard specs.
