Rusty Cooley is one of the most prominent shred guitarists today. He`s not as flashy as Yngwie Malmsteen or Michael Angelo Batio, but is every bit as skillful as aforementioned virtuosos. Throughout his career, Rusty has been focused more on teaching and education of younger players, than on multi-million record deals and stage. Nevertheless, his hard work and perseverance have earned him well deserved reputation of a fret master. For several years Dean Guitars have been making his signature models and for 2013 Rusty`s signature series is reinforced with one model. It`s name is RC7E and it comes in two distinct color schemes: Trans Red and Tiger Eye. Both come with high gloss finish. Body of this model is solid, double-cut and made of finest alder. It is carved on top and features bolt-on neck joint. Bridge section of this model features a seven-saddled Floyd Rose bridge with black plating. Pickups on this seven-stringer come from EMG. 707 active humbuckers are installed in both the bridge and neck positions. Neck pickup is slanted. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features special Cooley contour in the back. Maple fingerboard has 24 frets and custom inlays.
