MAB3 is one of the signature guitars made for Michael Angelo Batio. Michael is regarded as one of the fastest and most precise players in the world. Sweep picking, playing on two necks and incredibly fast runs are his signature techniques. Back in the day when he was one of the leaders of the first wave of shred movement, Michael was famous for his four-neck guitar. MAB3 is a more standard and conventional guitar and it comes with a modern double-cut body made of alder. Standard bridge unit on MAB models includes an original Floyd Rose bridge. MAB3 is no exception. Dean DMT Design pickups are installed on this model in the H/S/H configuration. Bolt-on maple neck is equipped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

I own the MAB-3 Silver Burst. The Neck i think is the best feature for the guitar. The floyd rose special seems like cheap quality compared to a regular floyd. Set up was alright, i had to look at 4 different MAB-3's too find one that didnt have any flaws on the paint job. All the back plates needed tightening because it kept ringing, the same with the tuners were also loose. The price is really good. It does play well. Overall i give it a (7). I own a ESP-Ltd QM100H and i payed the same price range for it($329.99)and the ltd is much, much, better out of the box. For some reason the finish on these models dont seem very good. Like i said i had to go through 4 differnt models before i found one with few flauses. The floyd special seems cheap on the MAB-3 compared to the one on the LTD. The fret board isnt as smooth on the edges compared to my LTD. I also own a LTD 7-string, Shecter Hellraiser(also has a real floyd rose on it) and also a washburn Nuno Bettencourt sig. series N6. If you want an average guitar with an above average neck this is alright.P.S try an LTD though before purchesing the MAB-3
