Graphyte series is one of the most interesting series introduced at this year`s NAMM show. It deals with standard Dean Guitars models equipped with an intriguing color scheme, named Graphyte. It features black tribal scheme painted over gray burst color base. Body and headstock are both painted. Also, both of them are finished in high gloss. Custom 450 Floyd Graphyte is one of the models introduced into the series and it comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany. Both the back and carved top are made of it. Due to the outstanding color scheme, this model features no binding around the top. Neck on this model is also made of mahogany and it sports the standard C contour in the back. This contour is a mix between the vintage chunky necks and modern super-slim shred necks. It offers enough support, while still allowing super-sonic speeds. On it`s top Dean installs a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Block inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard. Pickups on this Graphyte series model are DMT Design active humbuckers. Behind the pickups department Dean installs a Floyd Rose special bridge. Grover tuners and 25-1/2" scale complete the specs list.
