Z44 belongs to the Zenox series in the Cort catalog. This line of models is shaped after the legendary Les Paul and draws inspiration from it all the way through the construction and features. Z44 for 2012 has two major differences from the previous Z44, the new one has a set-in neck and a new color palette. To start off, new Z44 is a solid bodied, single cutaway model with a body made of mahogany. Z44 comes in arctic white and black colors with glossy finish and contoured top. The bridge on this model is a tune-o-matic and is combined with a string-through construction for an increased sustain. Pickups on this model are two EMG humbuckers placed in the bridge and neck positions. They are manipulated through a master tone with push-pull and split volume knobs. Pickup selection is done through a three-way toggle switch. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and equipped with a set-in neck. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and has 22 large frets, mother of pearl "Z" inlay at the 12th fret and a 12" radius. Other features on Z44 include: 24-3/4" scale, die-cast tuning machines and black hardware.

This guitar proves once again the outstanding craftsmanship, attention to detail and absolute value for money by Cort. I would recommend Cort guitars to anyone. They are superb instruments and sound like instruments twice their price. Excellent!
