Z series from Cort Guitars deals with Les Paul-shaped electric guitars, which compete in the beginners, lower intermediate and intermediate portions of the market. Z42FT is one of the lower intermediate models, with it`s solid and single-cut mahogany body with flamed maple top. Top is carved and stripped off of all unnecessary decorations to accentuate the natural beauty of the flamed maple grain. 24-3/4" scale, 12" fingerboard radius, 3+3 tuners on the headstock and 22-fret fingerboard are the hallmarks of the Les Paul heritage on this particular model. The bridge section is equipped with a lone tune-o-matic bridge. In it`s front, Cort installs a pair of open-coil humbuckers. Maple neck is bolted to the body and has the C contour in the back. It is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
