290 DC S is based upon the 290 model, but it differs in some aspects. For example, 290 DC S follows the line of double cut Les Paul models from the past and has only one P-90 pickup in the bridge position. Other than that differences are minute. 290 DC S comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of mahogany. It features a mortise & tenon connection with the neck. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which brings 22 frets, dot position inlays, 1-11/16" string nut and 12" radius. The bridge section is simple and consists of a wrap around bridge. In the pickups compartment, there is only one active P-90 pickup in the bridge position. It is controlled through master volume and tone knobs.
