DS-3 ST is the opening model of the DS line in Desolation series. Desolation segment of Charvel catalog is brand`s most recent attempt to reclaim it`s former glory and status on the metal guitars market. The initial wave had ten models and subsequently, desolation has grew to nearly 20 models. The sales figures are great and Charvel is constantly improving the lineup and adding new models. DS-3 ST comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany back and maple top. Top is carved and can be made of plain and flamed maple, depending on the color scheme. Tune-o-matic bridge on it`s top is paired with a stoptail bar. In the front, there are two high output passive humbuckers. Bolted maple neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
