DS-1 FR is made for players who like to incorporate whammy and vibrato tricks into their playing and like the additional support of the locking string nut, while the DS-1 ST is made for the traditionalists. It features the two-piece bridge section comprised of the tune-o-matic bridge and the stoptail bar. This is the only major difference between the ST and FR variants of the DS-1 model. DS-1 ST is a solid and single-cut guitar made of mahogany back and maple top. Series standard color palette is featured with this model. On it`s top, there are two Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups installed. They come with split volume and tone knobs and three-way pickups switch. Set in mahogany neck is paired with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
