Chapman`s ML 1, 2, and 3 models were inspired by Fender and Gibson classics, Stratocaster, Les Paul, and Telecaster, respectively. Also, all three models have their Modern and Traditional representatives, in both the Standard and Pro ranges. Some of them have even been used as the starting points for Chapman signature models. ML-2 Modern starts off with a solid single-cut body, set-through neck construction, and Chapman electronics and hardware. White Dove and Lunar color options exist (both with natural binding, gloss finish). The main tonewood features include a mahogany body, maple top (carved, bound in natural binding), maple neck, and ebony fingerboard (24 jumbo frets, custom inlay at the 12th fret, 1.65" nut). Other important features include Chapman Sentorian pickups, two-piece hardtail bridge, and Chapman Classic tuners.
