DC400A is an anniversary model was introduced to celebrate Carvin`s 50 years in business back in 1996. It is an upgraded DC400 model, and it comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder back and flamed maple top. The carved top is finished in high gloss and free of pickguards. Fixed bridge with string-through construction is the primary bridge option, though others exist, as well. Carvin humbuckers come with master volume and tone for passive circuit, master volume and bass/treble boost/cut knobs for active circuit, two coil splitting mini-switches, phase mini-switch and a three-way toggle switch. Five piece maple/walnut neck has a through-body joint and it`s topped with an ebony fingerboard. 24 medium jumbo frets, block inlays and 1.69" wide string nut complete the fingerboard.
