Contour C66 Premium comes as a nod to the '80s and the soloist models of that era. It has a solid, double cutaway body with a bolt-on neck construction. The body is made of alder back and flamed maple top, though other top options are available. Top is carved and finished in high gloss. In the bridge section, Carvin starts off with a hardtail bridge with string-through construction. Other fixed and tremolo bridges can be found on this model. In the pickups area Carvin installs a pair of their own humbuckers. master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch comprise the basic controls setup. Hard rock maple neck is bolted to the body and can be covered with a variety of fingerboards. However, they all have 22 medium jumbo frets, dot inlays and 1.69" string nuts.
