TAT Special 7 is one special guitar, one very special guitar. Apart from being hand-made in Japan, it boasts one of the most impressive specs lists available on a seven-stringed guitar today. Maybe someday Caparison`s standards become the industry-wide accepted standards, but for now they`re just exceptions. TAT Special 7 is a heavy metal monster, boasting heavy duty Caparison electronics, 27-fret fingerboard and neck-through-body construction. The wings of the body are made of mahogany base and plain maple cap on both sides. The central portion is one with the five-piece maple/walnut neck. Ebony is the material of choice for the fingerboard on its top. Caparison`s PH7 humbuckers (this is the only 27-fret Cap with full-sized neck humbucker) form the pickups combo. Other major features include a Floyd Rose bridge and Gotoh tuners.
