Special X is a model from the highly acclaimed Mockingbird series. Together with the Bich and Warlock, Mockingbird has made B. C. Rich famous back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Original Mockingbird was a part of the initial B. C. lineup in the 1970s and it went on to become one of the most popular and sought after original designs (not belonging to the huge pack of Fender/Gibson copies) in 1980s. Current Special X model comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany wings, quilt maple top and maple neck (this one has neck-through construction). Classic two-piece bridge section is fronted by a pair of Rockfield SWV humbuckers. Maple-made neck sports the standard back contour and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
