AS-101C/SPL is a slim neck variant of the regular AS-101C model. The difference is that the SPL variant is made for the players who are used to the steel-stringed acoustics and has 43mm wide string nut and slim neck contour, as opposed to the wide neck with rounded profile on the standard 101C. Other than that, these two are pretty much the same guitar. Also, one more difference is that this one comes with a deep cutaway to enable the players easy access to the upper frets. Classical body frame, reverse-positioned headstock, mahogany center block and the headless mahogany neck are featured on this model. Mahogany block is equipped with the amplification system and it`s belonging controls. Rosewood fingerboard on the neck is fit with 20 medium jumbo frets.
