Yamaha's AES1500 certainly has some people voting in its favor, and some against, but overall, AES1500 deserves your attention. Every player emphasizes different things about its features, so the opinions are divided. The best advice is to check out the guitar features yourself, and try to see if AES1500 is the right one for you.

Yamaha went really far in carefully choosing AES1500's features. There's little to be wished for, which makes AES1500 a full-featured guitar for a musician that plays a music style this instrument is primarily built for. If you decide to go for Yamaha's AES1500 you will be happy with its, safe to say - rich features. A job well-done by AES1500.

With AES1500 you will need some patience to get it to sound right. Yamaha has made a nice sounding instrument but if you want to have it sounding the way you really want, maybe a different set of pickups would do the trick. Most people find the current hardware good enough to suit their playing style and find their tone satisfying enough with what Yamaha has already built into AES1500.

Yamaha did a good job. AES1500 is built well, the finish feels just right, the hardware is solid. While playing for a longer periods of time you can expect AES1500 to stay in tune and you will be pleased while playing, because the neck is extremely comfortable. You might find that over time metal parts will oxidize a bit, but that's normal and nothing to worry about. Yamaha did a really good job with AES1500 guitar.

If you're willing to believe your fellow musicians, then you should trust that Yamaha's AES1500 is one highly reliable guitar, that will perform well both in studio and on stage. It is durable as well, given the fact that you take the usual care of your instrument. AES1500 is really a great choice if reliability/durability is one of your concerns.
