Sterling by Music Man can be really happy with AX40, because they met the needs of most of musicians: A quality instrument at a fair price. This guitar is not the best in its class, but it will serve you well, and will offer you good experience for the price paid.

This guitar is fitted with all the features you could possibly wish for, for a playing style that goes with this kind of instrument. Carefully chosen features leave no guitar player's desire unfulfilled, which makes Sterling by Music Man's AX40 an extremely well featured guitar with which you'll be thoroughly pleased. Highest grades for AX40's features!

Some would call it cheap, other might think it's weak and undefined, but the tone that Sterling by Music Man's AX40 produces is not what most of musicians would go for. Some beginners might do well with this guitar, however, as they develop into more serious musicians, they will start to feel the need to have a better tone that AX40 is able to provide.

Sterling by Music Man did a good job. AX40 is built well, the finish feels just right, the hardware is solid. While playing for a longer periods of time you can expect AX40 to stay in tune and you will be pleased while playing, because the neck is extremely comfortable. You might find that over time metal parts will oxidize a bit, but that's normal and nothing to worry about. Sterling by Music Man did a really good job with AX40 guitar.

Playing live, AX40 will perform well and will not let you down. It is fairly reliable instrument both in studio and on stage, and will be a long term companion, as it is built to last. Sterling by Music Man has made a solid instrument that you will be happy with, and can depend on right from the start. Needs no backup as it has proven to be built really well.
