A bit more features for the price asked is what most musicians would like to see from Steinberger's ZT3 Custom TransTrem. Wether it's the quality of craftsmanship, or the price, musicians don't seem to like what Steinberger offered with ZT3 Custom TransTrem.

Steinberger could throw in a bit more features into ZT3 Custom TransTrem but this guitar is definitely a useable musical instrument. Wether it's the price cut, or Steinberger felt that simplicity is the virtue, ZT3 Custom TransTrem is built around a limited set of features that one needs to investigate and see if it fits the need. Not a best equipped instrument, but ZT3 Custom TransTrem will please some musicians well.
Steinberger's ZT3 Custom TransTrem is one cool sounding guitar, built to please with it's tone. Many guitar players agree that it can produce sound they want, and call it their own. When paired with the right amp, ZT3 Custom TransTrem will make you a happy owner. Once you find the sweet spot setting you will be rocking all over the place with another quality instrument built by Steinberger.
You could find a better fitted guitar, but ZT3 Custom TransTrem is ready to be played by any musician willing to take time and adjust it to his/her needs. Steinberger built a guitar that has nice finish but it lack something that would make it feel even better. Guitar stays in tune reasonably well, if you don't force it too much, and the ZT3 Custom TransTrem's neck is playable.
If you're happy with Steinberger's ZT3 Custom TransTrem overall performance and characteristics, you can consider it to be a replacement guitar for your gigs. Even if used as only guitar ZT3 Custom TransTrem will perform, but don't overrate it and always try and find a backup. It is a solid guitar that will last long and perform well if you treat it right.
