Steinberger's Demon SD-2FPA is fairly good guitar. Not a brilliant one, but Demon SD-2FPA will serve you until you decide it's time to go for a bit more expensive guitar. You will not go wrong if you go ahead with Demon SD-2FPA.

Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Steinberger's Demon SD-2FPA as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Demon SD-2FPA, but Steinberger felt that Demon SD-2FPA provides enough features for a given price and the market that Steinberger aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Demon SD-2FPA will deliver what it's built for.

Tone delivered by Steinberger's Demon SD-2FPA makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Steinberger a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that Demon SD-2FPA will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because Demon SD-2FPA provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.

Though it could be better, action of Steinberger's Demon SD-2FPA is not that bad at all. It may go out of tune when mistreated, but it's easily tuned back in no time. You won't be let down while playing Demon SD-2FPA's neck. Guitar does feel a bit cheaper, but it will last you a long time, if you handle it with care that each instrument should be getting anyhow.

Some might say that Steinberger didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but Demon SD-2FPA isn't that bad. It will serve you well most of times, though you should be wary and have backups in situations where you feel Demon SD-2FPA might let you down, such as gigs and studio sessions.
