OVERALL RATING:

Features:
(10 out of 10)
This comes with AlNiCo 3 pickups and these are seriously well sorted allowing the guitar to offer clearly defined tones, whilst all totally Strat-like, nevertheless give superb flexibility.....country twang to plummy jazz and all points in between.
Quality:
(10 out of 10)
Great set up from box, no need to tweek anything. Very well built and the finish is just superb. I currently own an American Telacaster and have, in the past, owned a Mexican Strat and played a number of American Strats. This Squier is the equal of any of them. I can find nothing, no matter how hard I look, to make me think this is anything other than a top class Fender instrument, even the amber tint to the neck/fretboard gives it that totally desirable authenticity.
Value:

Ten out of ten!!! Enough said.
I can't believe that forty years ago I stood gawping in music shop windows at guitars that cost £200 at that time. Bear in mind that this was 3 months pay for me then. The Strats and Les Pauls on offer may be desirable now but in terms of quality they come nowhere near this Squier. There were no computer controlled jigs then and now the state -of-the-art Chinese factories are building instruments simply unobtainable in terms of quality and value back then. OK.....I'm getting on now but this is guitar-heaven!!
