Schecter is renowned for their extensive outreach to left handed players. Almost all of the budget oriented models and some expensive ones have their left handed version at minimal extra cost. One of Omen series models with a seven-stringed sibling is Omen-7 2012. It`s counterpart`s name is Omen-7 2012 Left Handed and it comes, just as the right-handed one as a solid bodied double cutaway model made of basswood. Bound and carved tops are featured throughout the Omen series, and on this model, as well. The bridge is a seven-saddled tune-o-matic in pair with string-through-body construction of the body for the maximum stability and tone. The bridge is plated in black chrome. Pickups are two humbuckers made by Schecter. Named Diamond Plus, these passive humbuckers sit in the bridge and neck positions. Controls consist of master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch. The neck is traditionally made of maple and attached with a bolt-on joint, a trait of Schecter`s budget oriented series. he fingerboard is made of rosewood and sports 24 extra jumbo frets with pearloid semi-gothic position inlays. The MSRP for Omen-7 2012 Left Handed is set at $549.
