Schecter JLV-7 FR Review
Jeff Loomis Series Electric Guitar by 'Schecter'
JLV-7 FR is a seven-string, Floyd Rose equipped model from Jeff Loomis signature guitars line made by Schecter. This is a Floyd Rose variant of the VLV-7 NT model and represents the ultimate model of the line with it`s intriguing V shape, locking bridge, 24 extra jumbo frets and EMG pickups. JLV-7 FR is a solid bodied model made of ash body and maple neck. The Body has beveled edges without any binding, and the top features no pickguards. As the rest of the V models of the line, this one also comes only in satin black. the neck is made of three pieces of maple and joined to the body via the set-in joint with ultra access. As on all Jeff Loomis models, fingerboard is made of maple and sports 24 extra jumbo frets with metal cross position inlays. The bridge on JLV-7 FR is a Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge with a locking string nut. It is painted in black chrome. The pickups are EMG`s active 707 humbuckers both in the bridge and neck positions. They are controlled and manipulated through master volume and three-way toggle switch controls. Other features include: Grover tuners, 26-1/2" scale and black chrome hardware.
