Schecter Blackjack Solo-6 FR Review

Blackjack SLS Series is a brand new line of models made by Schecter for 2012. These models share ultra thin satin finished necks, Seymour Duncan pickups, skull inlays and many more features. Blackjack Solo-6 FR is a Floyd Rose version of Blackjack Solo-6 and comes as a solid, single cutaway model with a body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. This model has a carved top and black binding around it. It is available only in satin black color option. Left handed model is currently not available. The bridge is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series with a locking nut instad of tune-o-matic. The pickups combo is a matter of each player`s choice between active Blackout or passive Full Shred humbuckers. Only the passive pickups in Blackjack SLS series have coil split function. Other than that, master tone and two volume knobs are complemented with a three-way toggle switch. Three-piece maple neck has an ultra thin contour and set-in joint. The neck also features an ultra access, a super wide cutaway with contoured heel. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 24 extra jumbo frets and skull inlay at the 12th fret. Schecter locking tuners, black chrome hardware and 24-3/4" scale finish things up for this LP styled Blackjack. The MSRP for Blackjack SLS Solo-6 FR is set at $1,119.
