Schecter Blackjack SLS PT Review

Blackjack SLS Series comes in 2012 as a top of the Blackjack line and brings a multitude of models made from already popular Schecter and Blackjack shapes. Seymour Duncan pickups, 24 extra jumbo frets, ultra access cutaways, mahogany bodies and maple necks make this series more than attractive. Blackjack SLS PT is a Tele-reminiscent single cutaway solid bodied model made of Mahogany back, flamed maple top and maple neck. This PT model is available only in satin black color with black binding around the carved top. The bridge on this model is a tune-o-matic with string-through-body construction and black chrome plating. In the pickup department, there is a choice between active and passive Seymour Duncan humbuckers. Active set up is Blackouts and passive Full Shred with Jazz Passive. Passive pickups have push-pull function on their knobs. Master tone, two volumes and three-position blade pickup switch comprise the controls department. The neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and is the pride and joy of the series with ultra thin contour, satin finish and set-in joint with ultra access cutaway with contoured heel. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 24 extra jumbo frets and skull inlay at the 12th fret. Other features include: black chrome hardware, 25-1/2" scale and Schecter locking tuning machines. The MSRP for Blackjack SLS PT is set at $1,119.
