It feels that Peavey could have done better with PXD Twenty-Three II, but still, this is a useful musical instrument. You should really give PXD Twenty-Three II a chance if you feel that this is a right instrument for you in this moment in time.

Peavey could throw in a bit more features into PXD Twenty-Three II but this guitar is definitely a usable musical instrument. Whether it's the price cut, or Peavey felt that simplicity is a good way to go, PXD Twenty-Three II is built with a limited set of features, so one needs see if it fits the need. Not the best equipped instrument, but PXD Twenty-Three II will do well for some musicians.

Tone delivered by Peavey's PXD Twenty-Three II makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Peavey a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that PXD Twenty-Three II will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because PXD Twenty-Three II provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.

You could find a better fitted guitar, but PXD Twenty-Three II is ready to be played by any musician willing to take time and adjust it to his/her needs. Peavey built a guitar that has nice finish but it lacks something that would make it feel even better. Guitar stays in tune reasonably well, if you don't force it too much, and the PXD Twenty-Three II's neck is playable.

If you're happy with Peavey's PXD Twenty-Three II overall performance and characteristics, you can consider it to be a replacement guitar for your gigs. Even if used as only guitar PXD Twenty-Three II will perform, but don't overrate it and always try and find a backup. It is a solid guitar that will last long and perform well if you treat it right.
