Following review text is verbal representation of numerical rating information:
PXD Tomb I is a good guitar. Slight disproportions in price vs. quality/features should never stop you from trying this guitar. Peavey did put a lot of effort into this instrument and it deserves to be tested. If you find that it suits your playing style, go for it - you won't be sorry.
Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Peavey's PXD Tomb I as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on PXD Tomb I, but Peavey felt that PXD Tomb I provides enough features for a given price and the market that Peavey aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but PXD Tomb I will deliver what it's built for.
Tone delivered by Peavey's PXD Tomb I makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Peavey a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that PXD Tomb I will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because PXD Tomb I provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.
A bit more care and time would make this instrument a class better, but Peavey's PXD Tomb I doesn't look bad, nor does play badly. It stays in tune reasonably well, and can provide a not-too-demanding musician some good experience. Was it the price, or some other factor, but it feels that the hardware could have been done better; nevertheless, PXD Tomb I is after all a good guitar which is not too hard to handle and set up.
This is a solidly built guitar that will play well live and in studio. It does provide a fair amount of confidence, and it can serve well both as a replacement and a first choice guitar for gigs and rehearsals. Peavey feels confident in its PXD Tomb I and it will serve you well in most situations. Durability and reliability are evenly balanced with this instrument.

4. More pick ups could not have hurt bit I like options. This only has one but awesome sound and once you put in the battery ooooo you don't just hear you feel it
7. It was flawless out of the box err gig bag but I would not takeit to a live gig alone because options and I play a wide range different song call for different tools.and I always worry i'll break strings
Good price . It has not let me down yet... I would replace it if I could find another.
I am very happy about this guitar. I love the sound and when I got curious about the battery compartment well I was blown away. The looks of it is what caught my eye ... its uniqueness and so far worked out great
