Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Maple Top is fairly good guitar. Not a brilliant one, but Custom 22 Maple Top will serve you until you decide it's time to go for a bit more expensive guitar. You will not go wrong if you go ahead with Custom 22 Maple Top.

Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Maple Top as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Custom 22 Maple Top, but Paul Reed Smith felt that Custom 22 Maple Top provides enough features for a given price and the market that Paul Reed Smith aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Custom 22 Maple Top will deliver what it's built for.

If you try playing Custom 22 Maple Top after an average guitar, it becomes obvious that this Paul Reed Smith deserves to be proud of making it sound so beautifully. It delivers great tone when plugged in to most amps and, versatile as it is, it will allow you to find your own tone that you will be proud of as well. Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Maple Top is surely a world class sounding instrument.

Though it could be better, action of Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Maple Top is not that bad at all. It may go out of tune when mistreated, but it's easily tuned back in no time. You won't be let down while playing Custom 22 Maple Top's neck. Guitar does feel a bit cheaper, but it will last you a long time, if you handle it with care that each instrument should be getting anyhow.

Some might say that Paul Reed Smith didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but Custom 22 Maple Top isn't that bad.
