Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) is fairly good guitar. Not a brilliant one, but Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) will serve you until you decide it's time to go for a bit more expensive guitar. You will not go wrong if you go ahead with Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition).

Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition), but Paul Reed Smith felt that Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) provides enough features for a given price and the market that Paul Reed Smith aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) will deliver what it's built for.

Paul Reed Smith made a guitar with an astonishing sound. Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) is one great sounding instrument. A lot of musicians will agree that it plays well in many different musical genres, and is easy to set up, but most of all, fun to play. Its tone has unique tonal characteristics that are easily adjustable to fit your playing needs.

Though it could be better, action of Paul Reed Smith's Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) is not that bad at all. It may go out of tune when mistreated, but it's easily tuned back in no time. You won't be let down while playing Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition)'s neck. Guitar does feel a bit cheaper, but it will last you a long time, if you handle it with care that each instrument should be getting anyhow.

Some might say that Paul Reed Smith didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) isn't that bad. It will serve you well most of times, though you should be wary and have backups in situations where you feel Custom 22 Artist (Special Edition) might let you down, such as gigs and studio sessions.
