Following review text is verbal representation of numerical rating information:
Gibson is a company that you can count on and be sure that they know their job, and that's building great instruments. Another model from Gibson named SG Standard outperforms and outranks sound-wise many other models in its price range. It's well worth the price.
This guitar is fitted with all the features you could possibly wish for, for a playing style that goes with this kind of instrument. Carefully chosen features leave no guitar player's desire unfulfilled, which makes Gibson's SG Standard an extremely well featured guitar with which you'll be thoroughly pleased. Highest grades for SG Standard's features!
Another great sounding guitar from Gibson such as SG Standard surely stands shoulder to shoulder with its previous models, and with top guitar models from other musical instruments manufacturers as well. Plugged into most amplifiers, this guitar will deliver the kind of tone you'd expect from a high class instrument. Hardware setup that requires no effort to adjust will have you playing your tone in no time.
Ready to play out of the box, Gibson's SG Standard is easy to set it up even more precise than usual, thanks to great hardware pieces it has built in. Handling and playing this kind of guitar is a pure joy as it stays in tune 90% of the time, regardless of the level of usage. It feels reliable and it really is, as Gibson put great deal of time and effort to produce such a good-looking guitar that is behaving well, as SG Standard does.
If you're concerned whether SG Standard will serve you well in terms of durability or reliability, then you shouldn't worry at all about that. Gibson created a very fine musical instrument that will stand the test of time and perform well in any situation: studio sessions, gigs or rehearsals. SG Standard is a quality built instrument that will last you a lifetime if you take good care of it.

I have a 2010 standard that was made in mid april, and for the price that these come for, it's an amazing deal. The guitar has a rosewood fretboard, corian nut, nashville bridge, standard tailpiece, a covered 490 in the neck and 498 in the bridge position, neck binding, two piece mahogany body and acrylic trapezoid inlays. the only thing I'd complain about is the nut, which is poorly cut.It has 22 frets and 2 tone - 2 volume pots with a 3 way toggle switch.
fantastic guitar that hasn't failed me once. could stay in tune longer but that's no huge problem. wouldn't need a backup.
for 1200 you can get this guitar. amazing. it wont let me down, and if lost, i'd buy another.
A great guitar that can suit any playing style you take it to, action and fit were great for me (except for the nut) and you just glide along it. so easy to play! a buy that you won't regret.
