Following review text is verbal representation of numerical rating information:
Robot Flying V Ltd. is a good guitar. Slight disproportions in price vs. quality/features should never stop you from trying this guitar. Gibson did put a lot of effort into this instrument and it deserves to be tested. If you find that it suits your playing style, go for it - you won't be sorry.
Carefully chosen set of features makes Gibson's Robot Flying V Ltd. a really good guitar. Some might say that it lacks some of the features, but Robot Flying V Ltd.'s features still fulfill an average musician's needs. You won't be wrong to go for this axe 'cause it has a wide array of different sounds and a lot of possibilities for tweaking the sound to make it yours. Getting one of Gibson's Robot Flying V Ltd. is a way to go.
If you try playing Robot Flying V Ltd. after an average guitar, it becomes obvious that this Gibson deserves to be proud of making it sound so beautifully. It delivers great tone when plugged in to most amps and, versatile as it is, it will allow you to find your own tone that you will be proud of as well. Gibson's Robot Flying V Ltd. is surely a world class sounding instrument.
A bit more care and time would make this instrument a class better, but Gibson's Robot Flying V Ltd. doesn't look bad, nor does play badly. It stays in tune reasonably well, and can provide a not-too-demanding musician some good experience. Was it the price, or some other factor, but it feels that the hardware could have been done better; nevertheless, Robot Flying V Ltd. is after all a good guitar which is not too hard to handle and set up.
This is a solidly built guitar that will play well live and in studio. It does provide a fair amount of confidence, and it can serve well both as a replacement and a first choice guitar for gigs and rehearsals. Gibson feels confident in its Robot Flying V Ltd. and it will serve you well in most situations. Durability and reliability are evenly balanced with this instrument.
